I hav brought this for family photos purpose , It has 30x zoom and 16Mp , I feel this is more than required for outdoor and indoor shoots for family and personal use , I recently took this camera for my tour and it gave the best pictures and am really satisfied with this ,

this is small camera as this is semi DSLR. for normal use camera is ok to buy. picture quality also good. but if you are buying for normal use then you can prefer DIGITAL camera which can be fit in pocket also and digital cameras also having same result as this camera having.

Canon sx400 IS provides all the essential features ,the program mode gives enough options as well as light adjustments to the users. The 30X zoom is amazing and is capable of photo shoots upto 200 pics without flash and upto 120 pics with flash in single charge of battery. But the performance is not as expected in the dim light (without flash) or indoor shoots which was quiet disappointing.
