    Flipkart Official Review

Archer is back and this time the Clifton Chronicles have got a lot more adventurous, dramatic and almost a rollercoaster of a novel. This is the kind of book which can be read in one sitting and over one weekend and perhaps even in one night.

“Be Careful What You Wish For” is the fourth instalment in the Chronicles and it is way better than the other three. The book further talks of the lives of Sebastian, Harry and Emma Clifton along with the Barringtons.

The book like any other Archer has a lot of twists and turns which only works for the reader, and helps him or her in turning the pages with bated breath.

Be Careful What You Wish For is a best-selling suspense novel from master storyteller Jeffrey Archer. The fourth installment of The Clifton Chronicles, the book continues with Henry Clifton's story and follows the Clifton and Barrington families into the sixties.

    Summary of the Book

When Harry and Emma Clifton hear about their son Sebastian's car accident, they rush to the hospital unsure whether it was their son who died or his best friend Bruno. Meanwhile, Don Pedro schemes to install Major Alex Fisher into Ross Buchanan's seat as the chairman of the Barrington Shipping Company, a seat that Emma desires following Buchanan's forced retirement. The Barrington family firm is threatened by Pedro's intentions just as the firm stands to build its new luxury liner, the MV Buckingham. In London, Harry and Emma's adopted daughter finds love in the Slade Academy of Art. However all delight at the news of the wedding vanishes when an old friend, Lady Virgina Fenwick, appears. Events take a turn when a hitherto unknown Yorkshireman, Cedric Hardcastle, takes a place in the board of Barrington's firm, changing the lives of both families.

Old wine in a new bottle

I’m a big fan of Jeffrey Archer, but this book has disappointed me thoroughly. There is nothing original in this volume. His plot structures follow the same pattern: Powerful characters manipulate the share market to get on each other, they speak the same language (the author’ tone is perceptible in every single character--male or female—smart and full of wit), and politics thrown in for adding useless pages.
I’ve read all his books, admired his style, but this one would be the last for me....

    Serial Killer

While other authors are trying to fit in more in an individual book, Archer claims that 4 volumes are not enough for him to finish this series and the number may stretch to 7 volumes... and none of these is a stand alone kind book..
this is nothing but cheating.. and the plot line is becoming more and more predictable.. I now wish I'd waited and bought all volumes together (at high discounts) maybe a couple of years after all had been released..
anyway that is the strategy i plan to adopt now...

Got both the best books- "Be Careful..by Jeffrey Archer" and "It Had to Be You by Anuj Tiwari"

These first two books of this summer and both the books are totally different but amazing in all senses. I loved reading the book. One similarity I found in both the books were, the punctuation used and description maintained in the book.
Nothing much to write here, a good read to pick both the books. Loved it

    First time Jeff Experience?

was pretty down, coz after 12 (while you wait for the colleges) .. U seriously get bored. Well so turned on Flipkart to get some reads. This was the first time i read a work From Jeffrey Archer, well i Ain't disappointed, even thought the books more than first half goes on a mediocre and melancholy ride. the next part catches up. I wouldn't say a Definite read. the main reason would be you would be disappointed as, the story is lingered and the book entices you into catch up the remaining pl...

Praise for Jeffrey Archer who know how to keep the readers attracted/attached/connected

To quote one of the reviews "Best part of reading the series after all parts are released out is that you don't have to wait for sequel for 10-12 months". The same has happened with this fourth of Clifton Series.
First of All, Praise for Jeffrey Archer who know how to keep the readers attracted/attached/connected (whatever phrase you want) to his book.
Secondly the Clifton Series is more like a TV series you are watching. I would suggest the author and publishers to convert the series in to a...

One of the best novel from Jeffery Archer

Jeefery Archer is no doubt the best fiction writer and my all-time favorite author. Be Careful What You Wish For, is the new book in the Clifton Chronicles series.

The last book ended at the point of Bruno and Sebastian meeting with the accident. A father unintentionally kills his own child but blames Barringtons and Cliftons for the misdeed. Don Pedro is more consistent with the thought of destroying these two families for now and forever.

He would stop at no cost till he has completely di...

    THE CLIFTON CHRONICLES Part 4

as i finished reading this racy serial novels 4th part, i was once again wowed by archer and his story telling.
he keeps you spellbound and page-stricken and you hanker for the sequel.
this is true of archer's books, fiction and non fiction, even his pison diaries (chronicles).
and now when jessica was turning into a real character, he finishes her off, just as he tried to do in the previous episode with sebastian ~ but this time irrevokably so.
i await the next two parts...

    Same old

Same old Jeffrey Archer. All 'twists' and 'turns' were rather expected. The only reason I bought and read this book was because I had read the first three.
