Murder-Mystery Indian Detective-ishtyle

I enjoyed the first book (the author paints a very rich picture of Delhi & Indian life - and given the fact the author is an expat, it made for interesting reading) -- and I think this, the second book is even better than the first.

I've lent the books (this one & the first 'case of the missing servant') to some 'phirang' friends of mine & they enjoyed them as well.

I've become quite the Vish Puri fan now & can't wait for the third. Something to do with Butter Chicken apparently!

Delhi Belly

The great thing about Tarquin Hall is his ability to tell a modern story with a tint of classical British humour. He is able to capture some fine behavioural neuances of each character so beautifully that the characters start resembling our next door neighbours. Vish Puri comes to live all over again entwined in an even more complicated case. Racey and must read for suspense lovers

The Great Indian Detective

I just couldn't put the book down. Truly written about the so called present day swamijis..A blend of magic, physics, illusion and intelligence...nice read..All the Vish Puri series are good. The way the plot is made is entirely different from the way our vish leads and brings to an end.
