    A winner.....Andy Karan..

I had two books for this long week end. One was the award winning ‘Chronicles of the Corpse Bearer’ and the other one ‘Catching the departed’, third book from Kulpreet Yadav. It seemed he has really departed from his other two books. This was really a winner for me instead of the shortlist of Hatchette. Recently I have read one detective book Lee childs Jack Reacher thriller. It will not be an exaggeration if I say, I could not really feel the difference between the Lee’s and Kulpreet’s writi...

    Captivating and Scintillating!!

    Kulpreet ji
I completed reading your book yesterday. I enjoyed it.
It's like watching a Hollywood movie with some India masala.
Keen to know what will be his next mission.
Will he be more technically advanced or not?
Will he be able to come over her gf death?
Your writing, every word I enjoyed.
For the first time, I read a book in less than month's time.
    Hats off to your creativity.

Good beginning, mediocre in the middle, mediocre end

The book began with almost perfect descriptions. The author created very believable characters and the style of writing was impeccable. In the middle somewhere, it seemed like the author was falling out of love with his own character Andy Karan. A few events started sounding repetitive and then in the end too, there was not much of a detective's job left to be done. Pure brawns somehow seemed to be the protagonist's only weapon.

The promise of the book is too huge though to dismiss the auth...

A complete package of thriller, romance and suspense

I had a pleasure to have this book signed by the author himself. As Kulpreet sir had promised, this book turned out to be an entertaining read packed with emotion, suspense and romance. The plot of the story is excellent.......I don't know why Indian are obsessed with foreign authors when we have brilliant authors in our country too.

Packed with suspense, romance, patriotism and most of all thrill...A must read!

A bang on thriller that keeps you on the edge and involved throughout. The characters are well described and come out pretty clearly. The narration and the Indian-ness of the backdrop is engaging. Looking forward to the second part of the trilogy.

Great Summary. Not so great novel!

The summary of the book was very captivating. That prompted me to contact the author for a review copy. However, the story did not live up to expectations.

The author tried very hard to write a gripping mystery. The attempt was very clearly visible throughout the book. The descriptions were a bit too much, but not something which will bother you. The story is passable. It is definitely not bad, but it is also not as great as the summary gives.

Andy Karan is a journalist who has retired from...

    Catching the Departed

It is one of the finest thrillers by an Indian author. The book has every thing that can keep the readers on edge - suspense, action, drama , romance and patriotic fervor. Reader of thrillers should go for it. Highly recommended !
