A nice book but not a must have

“Chakle India” is about cooking and what endearing Aditya Bal has learnt during his NDTV Show under the same name and his travels across the country for the show. If you have watched the show then you love the fact that produces delicious magic that is cooking, the reason that I wanted this book.

Feel sorry for anyone who owns it (including me)

The photos are god-awful. The book is peppered with spelling errors and the only thing that is nice, is the foreword. I wish more attention had been paid to ther recipes, because some of the measurements are inaccurate. I really feel sorry for anyone who has bought the book or owns it (including me)

A good, practical book with several unusual recipes

I have made several of the dishes in this book and most have turned out well. But this book is not for beginners. Though the author gives detailed instructions, many times I modified the methods as I found his methods quite tedious. Overall, if you are an experienced cook and want to try some uncommon dishes from all over India, this is a good book to buy.
