Cheeni Kum Blu Ray  (Blu-ray Hindi)

Cheeni Kum directed by R Balki is a romantic Hindi film that revolves around the life of an eccentric chef and his lady love. One of the greatest actors of Hindi cinema Amitabh Bachchan plays the lead along with Tabu. The other important actors in this film are Paresh Rawal, Zohra Sehgal and Swini Khara. Tabu won the Filmfare award for the Best Actress - Critics for her brilliant portrayal of a charming, strong willed woman in this movie. R Balki's Cheeni Kum tells the story of Buddhadev Gupta. played by Amitabh Bachchan. Buddhadev is a brilliant, eccentric owner of the best Indian restaurant in London, Spice6. He is 64 years old and a pompous, arrogant man who knows that he's very good at his job. He lives in a posh suburb in London with his mother, played by the graceful Zohra Sehgal and his confidante and best friend is his neighbour's daughter Sexy, played by Swini Khara. Sexy, who is nine years old, had been diagnosed with cancer and has been in and out of the hospital since. Buddhadev is very difficult to get along with till the lovely Nina Verma, played by Tabu walks into his restaurant. She is 34, very beautiful and everything that Buddhadev is not. Despite their differences and against all odds, Buddhadev realises that he is totally in love with Nina. The daunting task now starts when Buddhadeb has to ask Nina's father's permission to marry his daughter. Nina's father is younger to Budhadev and completely against the idea. Buddhadev leaves no stone unturned to convince Nina's father but he does not seem to give in easily. The Cheeni Kum songs were composed by maestro Ilayaraja and he used adaptations of his previous songs but with different arrangements. The songs in this movie were chartbusters, especially Cheeni Kum by Shreya Ghoshal. Cheeni Kum (2007) was released by Eros in Hindi with English subtitles and an A rating. It has one disc, a run time of 143 minutes and is in Blu-ray format.
