Dr. Kalavati H Kamble is an Assistant Professor in the
Department of Social Work, and Nodal Officer of
SAKALA/ S e va S i n d h u , Ka r n a t a k a S t a t e
Akkamahadevi Women's University, Vijayapura. She
qualified UGC NET in 2006 and happened to be the first
batch of Ph.D degree holder in Social Work. She was
awarded with Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship from
UGC. She has presented research papers in different National and
International conferences and published many articles in reputed
National and International Journals. She has worked as Juvenile Justice
Board Member from 2014-2017 and Chairperson of District Child
Welfare Committee, Vijayapura from 2017-2018 under the Department
of Women and Child Development, Government of Karnataka. She has
worked as a social worker in the NGO in Athani taluka, Belgaum
District of Karnataka funded by Christian Children's Fund from 1998 to 2004. She has also worked as NSS Program Officer from 2018 to 2021.
Her specialised areas in research are women, child and family welfare.
