  • Description

Chromosome 6 is a medical thriller written by Robin Cook. It is the third title in the Jack Stapleton and Laurie Montgomery series.

    Summary of the Book

Dr. Jack Stapleton, the forensic pathologist, is amused how the notorious underworld figure, Carlo Franconi’s body goes missing from the morgue before autopsy. Carlo is gunned down and his Mafioso rivals are the prime suspects. Discover how Stapleton tries to solve the mystery when a mutilated, unidentifiable body comes to the morgue a few days later. This title delves into the medical ethics of genetic manipulation and cloning in the deep forests of Africa, and how there is a possibility of one mistake altering the map of our own existence in terms of biological evolution.

    Well written

Interesting story line and nicely written. It would be more interesting if the fate of GenSys and other characters were described. Also the answer to the question - why did Kevin release the Bonobos without deactivating the microchip and what is their fate with the chip still on.....

But it is still the best to read.

    Regarding Chromosome 6

Everything is O.K. except the paper quality and font size which resembles the photocopied versions sold in roadside stalls. It has disheartened us so much that we will think twice before ordering books from Flipkart.

    Book Was Okay

The main story was a good one. The plot was also great. But 80% of the thrills and twists in the book seemed to be obvious. The end was a bit boring. The story was slow in the start but picks up pace once a few characters escape to the ISLAND but later it was again obvious. You could pass your time well without getting bored of the book.

The book was in great condition. Thanks to Flipkart!

    My first Science Fiction

Yeah this was the first story in this genre that rolled me into thinking what if it could be done? gripping and refreshingly new story. Africa-twist is a creative entertaining detour from regular american-hospital stories from Cook. This one will remain in my memories as science fiction.
