Summary of the Book

Circe is the story of a daughter born in the house of Helios, god of the sun. About the Author

Born on July 24, 1978, in Boston, America, Madeline Miller is an American novelist. She spent ten years writing her debut novel The Song of Achilles, which helped her bag the prestigious Orange Prize for Fiction in 2012. Just like Miller’s first book, her sophomore book Circe is based on Greek mythology. A graduate from Brown University with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Classics, Miller draws inspiration from a host of books, poems and authors, such as David Mitchell, Lorrie Moore, Anne Carson and Virgil, among others.
