A single word from a powerful man could spell chaos in the lives of many. Widely regarded as the greatest film to have ever been made, Citizen Kane is a classic drama mystery film directed, produced, co-written by and starring Orson Welles. This film is about a revered publishing entrepreneur named Charles Foster Kane who, when dying, utters the word “Rosebud” which sparks a search for its meaning within the print media. One reporter questions Kane’s family, friends and colleagues to get some insight into his life so as to gain closure. In the process, the reporter gets an account of Kane’s tremendously topsy-turvy life and how in the confusion he rose to and maintained his success.
