  • Description

The Clash of Civilizations is an analysis of world politics following the fall of communism by Samuel P. Huntington.

    Summary of the Book

This book is based on Huntington’s own article where he explains that the fundamental source of conflict in this new world will not be primarily ideological or primarily economic. He explains that conflict comes from cultural differences. These cultural differences will promote conflicts across global politics and will dictate future events. He also tries to understand how world peace depends on these cultural conflicts. This book is an authoritative resource for all students of political science.

    Eye opener

I bought this book after I saw a review in the newspaper. Haven't finished reading it, but yes it is quite detailed, and gives the reader a clearer idea why nations align or fight with each other. If you are enthusiastic about history, trying to evaluate human behaviour (as in marketing, advertising and international business), I strongly recommend this book to you. It is helping me understand better and communicate well with international customers.

    World needs peace

This deals with world politics after and before the USA and her capitalist world, the USSR, the COLD WAR, ISLAMIC EXTREMISM. This books display the whole world politics of 20th century and give a good knowledge of those days. I brought this book after getting a recommendation of my friend of history and i got the same subject as he told me about this. This is now in my library and many of other friends use to ask me for this one.

I am very thankful for flipkart who send this one in a proper...

Absolutely apt book for today's world. Mind blowing to say the least. If you wanna get a sneak peek as to what is gonna happen to this volatile world in the near and far future, go read this book. The guy is not just a great author but a great visionary. Hats off to Mr. S.P. Huntington.

    Classy product

A must read for truer understanding of 21st century world politics. Those who believe that International politics should not be seen in terms of religious and cultural milieu are at fault.
Any substantial analysis of future political scenario must involve religious considerations.

    Incredibly convincing...

A must read for all those who have some interest in international relations. The book qualifies to be called a magnum opus.

What Huntington wants to suggest is a new way of looking at global politics. And that exactly what this books does- it acquaints you with a new paradigm and expands your perception. A retrospective analysis of Huntington’s paradigm certainly vindicates one of his claims, if not a few. The end of cold war does not mean either the end of conflicts, or the end of history.
