Perseus, the mortal son of Zeus, stands up to his father and the vengeful god of the underworld, Hades, in order to save mankind from the Kraken. Clash of the Titans was directed by Louis Leterrier and stars Sam Worthington of Terminator Salvation and Avatar as Perseus. The extended cast of fine actors such as Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton and Jason Flemyng also make this movie memorable. In Clash of the Titans, King Cepheus offends the gods by destroying their statues, which prompts Zeus to send his brother Hades to deal with it. In his desperation, King Cephus begs demi-god Perseus to defeat the Kraken in order to save Princess Andromeda, who Hades has demanded as a sacrifice.
Wrath of the Titans is the sequel to Clash of the Titans and again stars Sam Worthington as the mighty demi-god Perseus. This worthy sequel is directed by Jonathan Liebsman and manages to capture the plight between man and god quite beautifully. This sequel retains most of the original cast from the first part and adds Rosamund Pike and Bill Nighy to the list of notable actors. The story takes place a decade after the defeat of the monstrous Kraken. Perseus lives a quiet life as a fisherman with son, Helius when he realizes that he has to go to help his father regain control of the heavens. Hades along with Ares switch their loyalty to side with the ferocious leader of the imprisoned Titans. With Kronos free and Zeus godly powers siphoned off, the fate of the free world lies with brave Perseus.
