I am studying final year of Comp Sci. Engineering at one of prestigious colleges in north India.

I was looking for some campus preparation books for Google, Microsoft, Amazon kind of companies.

I purchased this book along with Cracking the code book. Both were really good.

This book concentrates more on technical questions. Whereas Cracking the code book concentrates more on how to prepare resume, how to approach companies etc..

This is really a fantastic book among the ones I studied so ...

I am studying my M-Tech at one of the IITs and this book helped me at lot for getting my dream company (Google).

All the necessary topics were discussed very well and solutions were very well organized.

I think it's good book for ds and algo . Everything is explained in understanding way and lot of problems are given with solutions.

I must appreciate the author efforts in collecting questions and preparing elaborated solutions to all the questions.

A professional may feel that the explanations are prolonged. It may be required for students.

Whether you are a professional or student, keep the book as a work book. Don't rush to glance at solution. Sincerely attempt questions, and compare your answers with those given in the book. Practice every solution on a piece of paper and approach compiler.

Every topic has first a conceptual review and then a lot of problems with solutions.

The book has a lot of good questions. But it is not reliable in terms of accuracy in its study material and solutions to its questions. There are multiple typographic and syntactical errors. At some places there are even programmatical errors. It can only be used as a large practice question bank. Its conceptual matter should not be studied without first going through a good reference book like CLR (Cormen e...

There is no other books with sound good concept and explanations,it gives a solid concept of programming languages like Java,C and C++,also contains Perl scripting language. So nice examples and beautiful code to understand the basic fundas. This review is just to show respect to the author....Thank you sir.

JUST 1 THING - its very similar to : Data Structure and Algorithm made easy .. ( almost 90 % of contenst are same ) ..

If you are looking out to begin programming this book is not enough.

I highly recommend this book if you are preparing for a coding interview and want to improve your knowledge from intermediate to expert in algorithms and programming.

Nice book. Lots of worked out problems. Multiple non-trivial, tricky solutions. Although the book has quite a couple of mistakes here and there, nevertheless they can be easily spotted and fixed. A recommended book for placements preparation.
