Other books by Proakis are Digital Signal Processing, Discrete-Time Processing of Speech Signals, Digital Signal Processing Using MATLAB, Algorithms For Statistical Signal Processing, Wiley Encyclopedia of Telecommunications etc. Proakis had served as a lecturer in University Of California, San Diego. He also served in the faculty staff of Northeastern University and as professor in various other colleges in Electrical Engineering department.

Masoud Salehi is an expert in the Electrical Engineering stream. Other books of Salehi are Digital Communications, Fundamentals of Communication Systems, Contemporary Communication Systems Using MATLAB etc. He has Ph.D in Electrical Engineering and a M.S., both from Stanford University. Salehi served as a professor in Tehran University and, Isfahan University Of Technology.

It is very good reference book. all fundamental concepts are well explained in details. Author does not assume anything about prior knowledge of the reader and gives all necessary details. Definitely good read for all digital communication engineering students
