Not good for Indian learners. It might be good for non-Indians.You won't be comfortable with it. Pronunciation part is lacking quality & quantity. Something looks like missing. Indians'd better go for an Indian teacher/writer.

Superb book, First book i had bought in the teach yourself series. Till now i had completed only three chapter but its so fun goin through the book. Its not an ordinary learn Bengali in 30 days book. This book teaches Bengali in an non-authenticated way to read, write & speak. Never expected a foreigner to write a book on Indian languages in an easy understandable way.

If not bothered about the cost better buy it along with the Audio CD. Without that the pronunciations are little difficult.
