Complete / Convenient: There Is More To Men Than Bromance is a beautiful, heartfelt story of a young and excited Kabir, who is newly married and settled in Sydney.

    Summary Of The Book

Complete / Convenient: There Is More To Men Than Bromance depicts a very strange contrast between India and other countries. It talks of developed countries, where the worries of everyday life like the chaotic traffic, the rush to complete work, the suffocating corruption and red tapism are virtually absent. A land where life is simpler, faster and gives one time for other luxuries.

The author explores the plot in the backdrop of the charming story of Kabir. Kabir has earned a promotion with great perseverance and care, one that takes him to Sydney. Kabir and his new wife enjoy the scintillating life Sydney has to offer. Ketan Bhagat describes the beautiful city well and carves the adventures of the lead character in detail. He details how Kabir leads a kingly life punctuated regularly with the relaxing experience of spending time on beaches. Bhagat describes the sweet romance, bitter office issues, and the picturesque landscape that dots the horizon.

The author quite subtly goes into the stage when Kabir starts missing his homeland, its nitty gritties and the slight unease of its crowded streets. Despite all the professional success and the new friends, he cannot let go of the memory of his homeland. Complete / Convenient: There Is More To Men Than Bromance compares the emotions of the NRIs and the Indians who reside in India. He points out the contrast in the way each section leads their life and how they envy each other because of that.

    Book Review : “Ketan Bhagat’s – Complete /Convenient”

I took a little longer than usual to sit and write a review for “Ketan Bhagat’s – Complete /Convenient” even after finishing the book some 2 weeks ago, all thanks to my travelling schedule.
Before even reading the first page of the book, I was kind of curious after knowing that author is brother of none other than Chetan Bhagat and to add on to it , I figured out that eventually Ketan and me , we both work for the same organization though located in two different parts of India.
    Coming back t...

    Not bad at all!

Taking reference from his own life, possibly, Ketan Bhagat's debut novel Complete/Convenient talks about miseries of NRIs who are on one hand homesick, and on the other hand tied to foreign countries for the moolah they can rake from their. We all know at least one such person in our lives and the story is easy to identify with and accpt.

Smooth writing, good editing, good narration, Complete/Convenient is a nice, easy read. Forget that the author is related to an already established author....

A gem of a debut novel from the Bhagat family!

As was with Chetan Bhagat, Ketan Bhagat has written a gem of a debut novel. It is directed towards IT professional and what they face when they are overseas. Ketan's writing is more direct and less of masala in comparison to his brother. Punjabis will love this book too as a lot about their lifestyle is mentioned in the book in a humorous manner..

A Complete story, describe in a Convenient way.

Unlike the Aussies, who likes to make things complicated, I think Ketan likes to make things straight, clear and transparent. The fresh narrating style of his glued me in the book till I turn the last page.

I have never been to Australia or neither have any interest to see pictures of Australia in the internet. But Ketan makes Australia visible for me. I can see and feel the paths of Australia through Kabir's eyes.

He have a remarkable sense of humour which he use in a perfect way. Those pu...

The title is a bit perplexing, but understadable when one goes through the book

An emotional, relatable saga of the inevitable dilemma faced by Indians in foreign lands, whether to opt to stay permanently abroad, which offers glitz, a high standard of living, good dollars and a clean and free life, but away and detached from close family and friends, or to go back home and settle with their loved ones for filial obligations, greater security and support and accept a lesser quality of life. Ketan Bhagat has very authentically penned this gripping drama of the emotions and...

    Surprising Read

This book has been a surprising read. Ketan Bhagat is nothing like his famous brother. He is a far better writer and in control of his writing. Simply written and a story line that will keep you engaged till the very end. The length can be daunting but the read is nothing but entertaining.

    The Journey

The way Ketan has written Kabir's journey in his personal and professional life is a treat to read and also in a way reflect what people typically say "journey is the reward". Indian guy, just married, Australia, balancing wifey and parental demands, typical office of an Indian IT Company, friends..If he had written this book a few years back we would have already known what's in store for us..you are on your way Mr. Bhagat...great achievement and look forward to more in future..
