This is one of the best, easy to understand yet detailed book on Computer Systems that I have come across. It covers Computer Systems from the unique perspective of a programmer and bridges our understanding of systems between the abstract programming level and the machine level. It also covers aspects of Operating Systems and Computer Architecture and their intersection which contributes to overall understanding of how Computer Systems actually work.

Worth having it with you if you are interested how computer systems work in general from hardware till software via OS and networks
