It is a book that aims to comprehensively guide the students in various aspects of physics thus, making them fully equipped to answer any type of questions that may come in the exams.

Volume 2 of the Concepts of Physics starts with a chapter on Heat and Temperature. It moves on to explain the Kinetic Theory of Gases. The concepts of Calorimetry, Law of Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Specific Heat Capacities of Gases are discussed in the subsequent chapters. There are separate chapters on Gauss’s Law, Electric Field and Potential, and Capacitors.

The book also features chapters and detailed explanations on Electric Current in Conductors, Thermal and Chemical effects of Electric Current, and Magnetic Field. The author also elucidates on the concept of Permanent Magnets, Electromagnetic Induction and Electromagnetic Waves. He further stresses on the Magnetic Field due to a current, Magnetic Properties of Matter, Alternating Current and Electric Current through Gases. In the last chapters of the book, the author details out on Bohr’s Model and Physics of the Atom, Photoelectric Effect and Wave Particle Duality, X-rays, The Nucleus, Theory of Relativity and, Semiconductors and Semiconductor Devices.

fantabulous

I study in 11th class currently, and i want to have a good preparation for competition examinations. this book is wonderful, it cleared all of my concepts e.g. gravity, calculus
. however one thing it lacks is the number of numericals, as compared to other books of the same field. its a must buy for clearing ur concepts but not for one who craves for numericalss.

AWESOME Flipkart service, received the product 2 days before expected delivery date

Some of the books that make physics enjoyable and juicy

The theory in the book is so precise, logical and fun to read that even a beginner can understand most of the concepts by himself.
Questions for short answers are a amazing feature of this book, for they touch every minute points of understanding.

It is better than those 1500 pages book available in the market.

A very useful asset!

HC Verma books are definitely a very good asset for all those who're preparing for their PMTs and PETs, especially for JEE MAIN and AIPMT! I bought this book upon a suggestion from my senior, and Im currenlty preparing for my PMTs next year. Facts are crisply placed. The book can blow your brains out a bit!- Most questions are a bit tough. If you wanna ace the physics papers of AIPMT/AIIMS/JEE, this is the right book for you.

Bad for theory good for numericals

The theory provided in the book is insufficient for boards or even competitive exams.
If one wants theory, well explained, one may consult SL Arora, or Nageen Prakashan Nootan Physics. This book has very very confusing theory which is not recommended.
