    Very Good

    Paperback)
Story wise, the book has twisted the ‘Mahabharata’ into a modern saga with a business backdrop. So, the ancient Hastinapur gets a face-lift as ‘Hastinapur Enterprises’, Krishna becomes the modern day strategist cum consultant, Dhritarastra becomes the Chairman, the Tunnel of Varanavat becomes the Panic Room of a Holiday Home and the whole battle is fought to become the equity holders in a company! Doesn’t this sound like any other modern day Business family battle over property and ...

    A fun read

Corpokshetra is written by Deepak Kaul. A chartered accountant by profession & worked for more than 20 years as an international tax consultant, he returned to India in 2012. His love towards reading got enhanced when he started to work & has continued till date.

The book is a satirical take on the corporate world & the great epic of Mahabharata has been used as a base to create it's environment. All the characters of the mythology have been used in present terms, also the events have been a...

    Interesting story worth reading

Deepak penned down the tale of Mahabharata in the modern day corporate environment, with Hastinapur Inc as the background. While reading the book I was actually realizing how practical the writer is about today's corporate yug. He portrayed the story with Mahabharata concept in such an interesting manner that he deserves a toud of applause for that.
    Keep doing good job Deepak

neat package with the right amount of ingredients

Adi Guru Ved Vyas’ masterpiece, Mahabharata, holds a special place in the hearts of the Indians. Over the years several attempts have been made of retelling this epic poem in modern context, sometimes with success, at others, not so much. Deepak Kaul’s ‘Corpokshetra’ is one such attempt where the writer has drawn parallels between the ‘kurukshetra’ or war field and the board room of a corporate world.
In the author’s own words, his debut novel has been inspired by Shashi Tharoor’s ‘The great...

Have you ever imagined having Krishna's presence in today's corporate sector? OR Draupadi having danced on an item number? Short, quirky breezy read.

The attempt to try and relate an epic into the modern times that we live in is commendable. The naughty and witty Krishna as we read or heard from our ancestors has been appropriately dubbed to be a consultant. I was wondering how the book was going to explain Dhraupadi being married to five men at the same time in the modern world, thankfully the book didn't attempt to. Better left untried than to fail miserably at it.

The book had its own quirky moments like having to block gambling sites...
