500+ Read/Write speeds achieved! Sandforce rules

Corsair Force 3 is perhaps one of the best performing SSD out there having a Sandforce controller that earlier had issues with BSOD (Blue Screen of Death). But with the new firmware release this issue was fixed like 6 months ago. I purchased this drive from Flipkart and to be clear- this SSD is "Phenomenal".

It delivered maximum write speed of 510MB per second and read speed of 560MB per second with 1GB data broken into 1024MB chunks. This is amazing and is just 5-10% lower than the faster O...

      Small Wonder!!!

      PROs and PROs only:
      1. Probably this is the best 120GB SSD at this price.
      2. SATA III / 6 Gbps transfer speed.
      2. 2.5 t0 3.5 inch adapter provided.
      3. Corsair brand name.
      4. furioulsy fast. Whereas I get around 90-110 MBPS transfer speed in from my SATA-II to SATA-III HDD, here I get around 400-500 MBPS. Yes!!! you heard it correctly. A 1 GB movie file hardly takes 3 seconds to get tranferred even from my USB 3.0 ext HDD to this SSD. Enable AHCI mode in BIOS to get maximum performance.

      Cons:...

      Looking like running super computer

I am very happy with this ssd performace. Don't hesitate just buy this product. This will increase ur systems performance by double or may be more. I love the boot speed of my system which is 20 secs only. i used to install lots of applications. As i am a web and software developer. Now each of my application don't take more than 1-2 secs to load. Even Visual studio takes only 1-2 secs to load. which is quite fast. now my system never lags in any application.

      Speed is it's middle name!

Bought the Corsair Force Series 3 120GB to help bump up the speed of my computer. When you work on huge files in Photoshop you need good read and write speeds. The best past is you can use it as a "SpeedBoost" drive in Windows 7. Can I make out the difference? Yes! Atleast a 3x improvement in performance. I wish to make it a RAID setup in future. I trust Corsair bigtime to deliver performance and I love FlipKart for making it so convenient.

      Problematic at first,now running fine!

I was a bit skeptical when I decided to purchase a SSD.
It is much more expensive than a HDD and offers less storage.
Anyways I ordered this one and let me pen down my impressions.

I bought this for my new SB build. The first noticeable change is the boot time.
      Boot speeds-
      Windows 7-
      without SSD-around 20 seconds
      with SSD- 9 seconds approx

      Windows 8-
      without SSD- around 10 seconds
      with SSD- 4.5 seconds approx(literally)
*to get faster boot speeds you'll have to install your windows on the S...

      Good Product

Very Nice Performance. Easy setup in Windows 8. Liked it.

When you migrate to an SSD, make sure your partitions are aligned properly for best performance.

Go to DOS ( Type CMD in run )
      > Diskpart
      list disk
Select Disk # ( # being the disk no. listed therein )
      List partition
Make sure the offset is divisible by 4.

There is also a free tool for this ( google it )

      Excellent - High Performance Drive

      Excellent Performance. Value for Money!!
Read and Write of the large files and small files at a very high speed. All my tests were on the 3.0Gbps ( SATA II)
In my comparison I am getting about 1.25 times better performance than other drives.

      Very satisfied with the performance

Ordered this from Flipkart almost a year ago. Absolutely 0 problems after 1 yr of heavy usage. Performance is great especially if you're connecting it to a 6gbps SATA port.
Crystal disk info still reports 100% health (0 reallocated sectors / 0 uncorrectable sector count).
