The game is excellent. I am a counter strike 1.6 player.I was afraid to buy this one since i had a bad experience with cs source. Game play of Source was slow for me. To be frank i had been waiting for any of my friends to buy this before me since the day valve released it , but could not wait more than 2 months. CS: GO is a great game with updated graphics and is meant for modern PCs that run Win7 and Win8. Definitely outdoes CS: Source as well as Condition Zero.

Installing Steam is a breeze though updating the game is a bit of a pain. Once you update the game it will take you some more time for further updates. However when all that gets out of the way you will end up glued to your PC.

The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is excellent. The offline mode is a bit challenging though pro gamers...

Best installment of Counter Strike series! Awesome graphics and realistic recoils! People who have played 1.6 would feel a bit awkward with the gameplay in the beginning but later when you get used to it...you will start loving it!

As for the game, I didn't encounter any activation issues like my fellow consumers.
Although 2.9 GB of data had to be downloaded through steam (1.5 GB installed from DVD).
