Coolant: CPMAX Engine coolant, often a mixture of water and antifreeze, circulates through the engine and absorbs heat generated during combustion. It carries this heat away from the engine to the radiator, where it is cooled before returning to the engine. Coolant also provides freeze protection and corrosion inhibition to the cooling system.
