Excellent book, but do you need it?

As other reviewers have mentioned, it's an excellent book, since the author had the privilege to work in some of the top software companies that we aspire to.
But if you're hoping to crack one of those interviews as the author would like you to, by reading her book, you'll be disappointed. No book containing just questions (150 in this case) can cover the vastness of the software field.
So, my advice would be to first study the topics of algorithms, programming etc. from good books. If you st...

Do the thinking after you buy it.

I have gone through many interview prep books and frankly speaking, there isn't any better alternative out there. Some are loosely organized, some are bland and some are too C -centric. These days, most coders like me are usually comfortable with Java and C# concepts and with the liberty in interviews to code in any language, this insider's account of interviews and how to prepare for it is apt and meaty. I also think that you should not stick to any particular timeline for buying this book...

Excellent for professionals, not useful for rookies

This book is very straightforward, author assumes that you are Pro programmer with proficiency in data structures algorithms and their implementation and coding language, so she presents you straight answers to the problems, no explanation.
So professionals preparing to switch their job should read this book it is great for them but students of final year computer science or IT stream won't gain much from this book instead they'll get confused..

    Page quality is very bad

The page quality of this book is very bad. It seems like it has been made from recycled paper. My friend purchased this book from store and the quality of his book is good. So it seems the problem is with the publisher, the details of which are below. Try to avoid same.

    Excellent !!!

This book delivers exactly what it promises. Indispensable and professionally written! I am writing this review because I am very satisfied with the content and presentation as well. Rarely does a book has both these qualities. I would recommend it to any one considering to buy a book on technical interviews for CS. This can easily be the top choice.
