A good book to start with
The strategies given in the book are easy to follow, with enough practice [as the author mentions] this will be a useful guide. The info given in the CD is almost identical to the content in the book.
The eye-catcher however is the 6 practice tests of which 4 are online. The online content that comes with this book is based on Java platform, I suggest using IE or Mozilla [chrome has known java issues] for accessing online content.

Good Book
The go-to guide for GRE. Had heard a lot about it from seniors. Well structured book and an excellent starter. After this one can go for the practice books such as 1014 Practice Problems. Good luck to all those appearing for GRE.

This is all what you need!
TPR has done it again! This is the best book to equip you with all the strategies and knowledge for cracking the GRE. However, I found the CR practice set to be easier than that of the 2012 edition. Nevertheless, it's still my top choice when compared to other GRE books!

Great for verbal.
Pros: All you need for the verbal section, and AWA. Good for brushing up your quants concepts and formulae as well
Cons: Math practice & test questions are too easy. Get Nova math bible.

Awesome Book
A really awesome one for self preparation. Explains every section with detailed descriptions and examples. We get to know whats gonna be in the test exactly. you can get an idea regarding the entire thing. Dont hesitate go for it. and coming to the part of delivery its delivered in good condition and packaging was awesome. I got it before the actual delivery date

God book to begin with
This is the nice book to begin with your gre preparation. The strategies given for vocabulary and maths are simple and easy. However you might need some other book's if you want more practice questions. For vocab words go for traditional barron's which consists of 3-4k of words. And for maths this book is more than enough.
