The speaker sounds good..
one of the problem is that there are two output from the speaker(1 for front speakers and other for rear) for which lap should have sound card that supports 4.1..

creative has a very good name for quality of their products.........
firstly the pros:
1:beautiful looking speakers they look great on my table as well as on the walls
2:the quality of the speakers is good do not blame the speakers if you have a low quality songs on your laptop
3:built quality is good unlike other cheap speakers out there i had a creative 2.1 which have last me a good 4 years when finally the adapter gave up due to voltage fluctuation

Creative Inspire M4500 speakers are definitely worth the price if your laptop or PC can support 4.1 speakers. My Dell laptop supports these speakers, so the sound quality is nice. However, when I am using it with my PC, only two speakers are working.

I have been using this since April,2006. Unlike most of the 4.1's available, this is a true 4.1 and has two 3.5 inputs and 4 discrete channels. Good enough for casual gaming and watching movies. Music lovers better go for a 2.1.

Whats good
- Looks & Build quality.
- Clarity of satellites at high volume.
- Separate Power adapter ,so the sub-woofer doesn't heat up.

What not so good
- Bass is average, distorts over 50%.
- Wired volume control has got no 3.5 mm output for connecting headphones....

its just very cool and awesome speakers i ve. its my first one but i ve heard many speakers and believe me this creative gives them a real challenge to compete but none can at such price. only one thing more needed is more clear bass and treble would be much better. thanks flipkart and creative for such performance to music.

Sound quality: It's very good. one cannot expect Creative to sound like Bose for its price tag and quality.

I will recommend this product for its sound quality & affordability.

I have used this in both my lapi and my Panasonic LED TV and the performance is awesome.
The bass is good and the sound quality is also good for such a price.

The design is attractive unlike other CREATIVE speakers
The woofer is good..........but the woofer controler should be more easier to control
it is placed behind the woofer which makes it difficult to adjust the bass level....it should be combined with the volume controler.....
there is no treble controller...

But still the sound is GREAT against other cheap speaker

but please check other speak...

I got these speakers for my HP pavilion dv6-6165tx notebook. It has two 3.5 audio outputs so all the 4 satellites can be powered up without any other accessory. For laptops with only one output, get a Y pin and all the satellites will work. You will not get the surround sound experience if you dont have a sound card that supports 4.1 config.
Talkng about the speakers, they are very decent for the price tag
