P.C. Parakh has given very nice and honest incidents a place in the novel which can make understand many people about the government problems and also problems a bureaucrat faces while delivering his duties. I liked it..............Also language is quite easy and makes what we call a heart to heart connection between author and the reader.

Definitely PC Parakh in my opinion is a Crusader. He chose to Fight Back!
Now note that this intelligent officer have never been proved guilty of any misconduct either official or non official manner. He has NOT WRITTEN THIS BOOK TO JUSTIFY anything, Rather to EDUCATE THE SO CALLED UPSC ASPIRANTS that how strong your heart should be to face the ill will of any Politician,Mafia or Colleagu...

The invisible entities that scuttle transparency in the functioning of the departments especially the Coal Ministry....The arrogance of the Political class across parties..... The steady degradation of the value system in Polity and the Bureaucracy ......The only option for an Honest man like the PM was to assert himself or to put in his papers ...He did neither sadly...

This book of P.C.Parekh gives lot of awareness for do and undo of Govt. and their work,
CAG limitation etc.

If U Like Politics a must read for u.........................

I am saddened by what the author has described , a PM who lost his mojo / strength / wisdom / power. But alas we are in elections, hope the new elected head of state would bring in lesser scams and more direction for our country.

The author has described the difficulties and obstacles he has faced during his regime under administrative services in the corrupt system and seniors.It comes out that how helpless you are many a times even being an IAS officer and bearer of authority.A GOOD READ.
