Nice
This is the first book of Anitha Desai I chose to read. I acknowledge the fact that Motherhood and familial obligations towards husband in particular always stifle the individuality of women. Maya, the protagonist of the novel chose to kill her husband for the sake of her life is bit shocking. It in fact drives her insane too. so, am not happy with the conclusion. justification of the plot with the title seems perfect.......
