The second paper of the Civil Services exam is mainly an aptitude test. It tests various abilities like logical reasoning, numerical abilities, data interpretation and sufficiency, language skills, and comprehension.

This book focuses on data interpretation, logical reasoning, general mental ability, and its related topics.

Data Interpretation Logical Reasoning & General Mental Ability: General Studies (Paper - II) has three sections. The first section deals with data interpretation in detail. It starts with an overview of data interpretation and then covers topics like tables, bar-charts, pie-charts, and X-Y charts.

This section also contains different tests related to data interpretation. The first test is one without any options, the second is a speed test, the third is a sectional test, and the fourth one concentrates on data sufficiency.

The next section covers logical and verbal reasoning. It starts with an overview of logical reasoning concepts. It then goes on to explain topics like analogies, blood relations, mathematical operations, coding and decoding, sequences and series, and directional tests. It also focuses on statement interpretation concepts like statement and assumptions, statement and conclusions, and statement course of action.

The third section covers general mental abilities. It covers set theories, network diagrams, logical reasoning, verbal reasoning, probability, permutation and combinations, numbers and series, and other related topics.

2.) CSAT Civil Services Preliminary Examination: Basic Numeracy for General Studies  (Paper - 2)

Basic Numeracy For CSAT General Studies Paper II was published in 2012 and is meant for students who wish to prepare for the Civil Services Exams. CSAT stands for Civil Services Aptitude Test. Candidates who wish to appear for the Civil Services Mains Exam have to clear CSAT. Those who can clear the mains exam and the subsequent interview will go on to be posted in IAS, IPS, IFS, and IRS cadres. In the Civil Services Preliminary Exams, Basic Numeracy is a significant topic. Hence, the chapters covered in this book are framed using the type of questions that appeared in 2011. The content of the book is divided into five parts, which are as follows: Part A includes Developing Your Calculations, including Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Squares, and Cubes. Part B covers Numbers, including Number systems and Progressions. Part C - Arithmetic and Word Based Problems, including Averages, Alligations, Percentages, Profit and Loss, Discounts, Interests, Ratio, Proportion and Variation, Time, Speed, and Distance. arun sharma does not even know what the syllabus is. he is just fooling the students. he leaves some topics to be studied by the students themselves. then why the hell did he write book. i want my money back
