    Description
Time is one of the gifts of childhood. During our childhood, we had time to wander and wonder, to play freely without fears of traffic or crime. These are some of the simple joys missing from children’s lives these days. Cuddapah Tales takes us back to those simpler times.

An airplane lands in a village and the village boys run to watch it; a monkey up to tricks loses more than his wits; a little dog’s bite finally puts sense into a mischievous kid; children make a visit to a village fair, which ends in tears; there's an unforgettable visit of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and a little girl’s adventurous cart ride to middle school. In simple, uncomplicated prose, the life of a five-year-old Nandu unfolds in a series of incidents, in an age when cars were few and the British were not just a memory but still a presence in India.

    Cuddapah Tales -Review

Cuddapah Tales - What a wonderful journey into nostalgia. Immensely enjoyed all the stories. Transported back to the halcyon days of our childhood when rat race, stress, competition were terms unheard of. The simple, uncluttered life and times of our childhood has been beautifully described. The tongue-in-cheek humour doesn't fail to amuse you.

Truly a gem. Would recommend a definite read.

    Great book!

I ordered this copy last month and got it within a week. The Flipkart's packaging was good. I just finished reading it. It's really a good one. As the title goes, the stories are based in Cuddapah which is a place in Andhra Pradesh. The stories are about the mischievous encounters that are faced ...

    Good read for sure

This book is a good read! Great for kids, good humor in there too. Love how it has a very coffee table-book-like feel but also is quite reminiscent of what could've been a good past. Kudos to the author.

    Great

Not the usual genre I read, but I gave it a shot nonetheless. Great writing style and the pictures were quite apt. Great stories in there to share with kids, definitely nice to read and think about even as an adult.
