    A pleasant surprise

This book is a different one from the usual crime fictions you read,so will be a little disappointing to easy readers, but it will surely fascinate the literature lover in you by the sheer quality of the language, the detailed character sketch and the smooth unravelling of the plot.Even though you can guess the murderer by 2/3rd of the book (surely a flaw) , its a worthy read. I remember reading ladies' coupe years back, but never thought Anita Nair would come up with something like this. ...

    Sakaath Hot Maga.

This book can compete with the best of crime fiction. One of really good thrillers I've read in a long time. The familiar settings of Bangalore make it all the more interesting to read.
Bore Gowda is all at once an interesting and familiar character.
In his own words this book would rate: " Sakaath Hot Maga".
Buy this book and all of Anita Nair's books. They are worth every penny!
Only sorry could not buy this book on Flipkart.

Good one. Holds the suspense till the last pages

I am not a prolific reader and not an expert at reviewing a book.
But since I read this book, I think I can make my opinion.

This one is a well framed crime investigation story. The complete plot is set in Bangalore. It holds the suspense till the last page.

This one is totally different from Anita Nair's 'mistress'. I would suggest this book to you if you are interested in crime stories OR if you like Anita Nair's style of writing.

    Poor writing style.

The novel starts with a confusion. Introducing all the characters takes too long. The flow of the story could have been better if the detailed description of each scene would have been skipped. Overall, what one may expect while reading doesn't surely turn up the way one actually wants. Inspector Gowda though portrayed as one of the most intelligent officers, fails to create that impression in one's mind. Not recommended for readers who expect a full suspense, thriller, sending chills to your...

    Inspector Gowda

Focused around central Bengaluru, Cut Like wound is story of crime, police, politics and life around that. Inspector Gowda's role is centre to the plot of demystifying a series of seemingly unrelated murders.

Good entertainer. Hope there will be sequels...

    Good read for a Bangalorean

Any Bangalorean would love the references to the city and the depictions of the characters that inhabit here.
Characters have been well developed. Scene depictions are good.
Special mention to the research into various topics required for the story, though at times it seems overdone slightly, as it doesn't seem natural.
Story can be said to be gripping, definitely not boring in any stretch.
    A good weekend read.
