this is a very good modem but if u dont know the usename and password of ur ISP you will suffer to configure this modem just like me and by luck if have a BSNL connection then those customer care MF's will never receive your call for help.. overall its a very good modem.. there are no overheating issues, but ya it gets a bit warm like any other electronic gadget.. din notice any speed increase difference but the connection is very stable... you dont need to restart the modem again again to e...

The Reason That I Am Writing The Review Now After More Than a Year Is To Confirm That The Product Is Great And Never Had Problems. This ADSL2 modem/router is good for personal use as it consist of only one Ethernet port without wireless connectivity. Considering its price it is a good choice for any body required a stable router with decent upload and download speed for a single computer. It hardly lose connection , I used it with BSNL connection and works good.

I've got the shipment in time. and I was surprised with the size of the router i think that it would be bigger but it is small best fitted on by desk. When it comes to working of the router it has a decent user interface easy to configure. only bum i got while configuring it for BSNL is that we need to update the value of VCI in the configuration to 35 in order to use this router with BSNL. it does require some configuration and if you are not the technical type, you would be stuck. The modem seems to ship with a very old firmware and updating this seems impossible since there is no update file and D-link customer support is non-existent. Hence some new features might be unavailable. Also the modem's UI keeps giving a "micro httpd error" when accessed through Firefox. Bought this coz the utstarcom modem i got with bsnl blew up after 8 years of use ( yup 8 years) and already have a stand alone router so needed just the modem.

It was delivered within 48 hours which as usual was impressive.
The initial setup was as easy as it gets. All i had to do was enter my id and password provided by bsnl and the thing started working just fine.
Havent had a downtime after i have connected it and the newer 2520U was delivered to me as it is shown in the picture and yeah ...

I got this from FlipKart to replace my aging BeeTel 220BX modem for my AirTel broadband connection. As usual the FlipKart delivery was fast and breezy. The modem is good to use and setup was fairly simple - just connect via the LAN cable to the modem and use the configuration web app to configure. Setup took less than 10 mins.

Modem has been good till now. No more connection drops for me. I highly recommend this product.
