I have been using this modem for 2 days and here is my observation.

BASIC FACTS :

- This is a MODEM which you can use to replace your existing broadband modem. I bought this to replace my ZTE bsnl modem and it works great with the BSNL broadband connection.
- It does not function as a Wireless Router, you will have to purchase an additional wireless router like Neatgear or Linksys and connect it to this modem for wireless connectivity.

This is by far the most value for money ADSL modem, if you have to replace your old modem for BSNL

broadband connection and you already have a wireless router separately. This can work as a modem

as well as a router without WiFi. If you want to share the internet with multiple computers, you can

buy an external Ethernet switch and connect this in DHCP mode. You can also use it to connect your

desktop/laptop computer to the internet via the LAN port and setting it in PPPoE mode.

Something I noticed was that the DNS server was defaulting to a spam DNS server. Even if you re-configure it. I am not sure if this came like this out of the box or after a time of having it connected.

If you ever buy this product please check the DNS server mentioned in the settings, Google that IP address and you will see what I mean, change it to your preferred DNS server and re-check the setting in a week. If this defaults back then its hacked firmware. Return Immediate...

Got this for 950 at SP Road, Blr. Wanted this for my BSNL Connection. Setting up was ok, just use the id & password provided and the settings are the same as BSNL modem.

Signal has not dropped so far, works well. Recommended for BSNL.

the product is very good having the option of usb for 3g stick.
it supports almost all 3g connections.

The fallback option is really useful for people who want a continous internet.

Good product. Works well.not the most user friendly for setup but once u figure it out and have it setup, it works well. I purchased it to set up AirTel DSL broadband. Works great with it. Unfortunately does not detect setting automatically.

I have been using this product for over 6 months now.
It works very good with my BSNL Broadband connection, its easy to setup.
You can save your Username and password that you got from BSNL and it will automatically connect to internet once you power it up. Its not like those BSNL ZTE modems where every time you want to connect to internet you have to manually connect.
