    Description

Dashavatar, published by Amar Chitra Katha, is an illustrated book in Hindi, for children aged between 9 and 14.

    Summary of the Book

This title depicts the ten avatars or incarnations of Lord Vishnu: Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narasimha, Vamana, Parashurama, Rama, Krishna, Buddha and Kalki. Vishnu is believed to descend in the form of an avatar to restore cosmic order in Hindu theology. The Dashavatara order draws parallel to Darwin's theory of evolution in its progression.
