This is probably one of the best books for beginners to start with DSA concepts. Unlike some of the foreign authors' book where they try to show thier own intelligence than to make the readers feel comfortable, this book is amaxingly simple to understand. Even for complex topics, the book provides great illustrations and makes it easy to understand. Best for beginners.

IMHO the 2nd best basic algo book (1st is algorithms by robert sedgewick) if you specifically want every thing in java not only pseudo code.

You can even try Goodrich for data structures , it's simpler than this

Best Book if you dont know anything about Data Structure and algorithm this book will explain you from very basic... i am cse graduate and in india we know that teacher teach only things that important to pass exams but i am very curious about DSA hence i will study this whole book before moving on Introduction to Algorithms by Corman....!
