nice!

this book is for those who already knows something about the c/c programming because sometimes it may not show the exact appropriate syntax assuming that you already know about it.
but if you know the basics then it's one of the best books to go for even if you don't know anything about data structures.(stacks, queues, linked list, recursion, trees and graphs)

a little dull and dorky representation with good contents.
overall if you really want to know data structures....buy it!

A must have book for every computer science student.

This book requires no introduction or praise. It's a de facto standard on the subject as long as the language of writing code in C is concerned. And not to mention the only book in the subjects that actually describe the ADTs the way they should be. And this is not at all a handbook, it actually 'teaches' you how to write code and beginning with the subtle nuances of C that you have surely missed in your CS-101 class. A must have for absolute beginners to seasoned professionals !

Good book but not for begginers

The book by Tenenbaum on data structures is a good book. Some of the topics like trees, graphs, hashing and sorting have been explained very good. But the basic topics like arrays, stacks and queues is not very good. The chapter organization is poor and you have to search through the book for different topics.
Overall the book is good if you can spend some time in reading it. The exercises are great and very challenging to solve. I think anyone who wants good concept for data structures like tr...

After having an Intro....HIGHLY CONCEPTUAL

This book is meant for those who want to learn and create efficient data structure .................................. It is very much conceptual and not for those who just want to pass the exam in a simple manner. One needs to spend a lot of time and mind with this book..

Four Stars

Good book..Bad old quality print... contents are easy to understand as writer has written it very carefully so that beginners can understand easily, but I found the book incomplete ,e.g I didn't find anything about Double Ended queue (Dequeue) in the Queue chapter and the negative point of the book is it's print quality which is very old type as this book has only one edition in the year of 1998 .Since back then the book hasn't been re edited till now.
