    "BEAUTIFUL WOMAN'S Beautiful Books!!!"

It is a book from "The 'most beautiful' woman because of her thoughts, actions, simplicity.......(list goes on)-- according to me". I had read "Wise and Otherwise", "The old man and his God", 'Mahashwetha" which definitely touch your heart. After reading every short stories in these books, many times I go too much emotional ending with few drops of tears in my eyes!!!This is my experience. I respect and love this author for her great service to the society. Hats off Madam!!!

    Life's Lessons

Mrs. Sudha Murty has yet again awed me with her small packages of hope, love, disappoontments and all other lessons of Life. This book is as usual great. Through her stroies I get to see more of life and get to know humans and their way of thinking. Beautiful and simple.

P.S. - Flipkart service never fails to awe me. Great service.

    Love the simplicity

Its my first Sudha Murty book. I love the fact that its kept simple . Everyone comes across situations which leaves an impression and new lessons are learnt. Its a good collection, a good read, also takes very little time to finish.
But the question I have is why give up drinking milk or why the title "The Day I Stopped Drinking Milk"

    Nice Book

I preordered the book and Flipkart did not let me down, making sure I got the book on time. The stories are wonderful particularly the story Do you Remember. I also liked Life's Secret Lessons. For all of us who are fans of Sudha Murthy's books, the wait for her latest collection was worth it.

    Very Nice Book

Its a very nice book, written in simple English, very easy to understand. Especially the first two stories are really touchy. The next stories are as well good narrations though. All the stories have human touch as they are the real life incidences that have taken place in her social-work-life. The stories are really depictions of the people she has interacted with such simplicity that nowhere the reader feels about her own economically well-to-do rather rich background (Being Narayan Murty's...

    Just Another Read!

The book is an average read. Spread over some 23 odd stories, 'The Day I Stopped Drinking Milk' is more like notes picked up from authors'daily personal diaries.

Majority of these stories follow the format - "He/she was my student - the foundation helped him/her - post his/her education and the student thanked/did not thank the author". However, different stories had different morals/take aways.

Not too sure why was the book titled so and the chapter 'Sharing with the Ghost'somehow seemed...

The day I stopped Reading Mrs. Murthy's books.

This is the first book of Mrs. Murthy I have read. I dint expect it to be like a story book written for the kindergarten. It has got easy language, no complicated vocabulary. I am not going to read any other book of hers ever again. But for my kids I would recommend it certainly.
I still don't understand why she stopped drinking milk.
