Param Heli Lure is a pheromone based device in which the lure attracts the adult male insects. After installing on field, the smell of the pheromones from the lure attracts the male adult insects that get trapped in the device, thereby preventing further production of eggs by mating with female insects. This helps control the population increase of larvae (harmful stage of insect) on the field. The funnel trap has three parts (1) green canopy (2) funnel shaped “trap base” (3) an insect collection bag. The canopy has a central slot on the lower side for attachment of lure. The canopy should be firmly set on the funnel shaped trap base, so that it does not get dislodged due to wind. The canopy protects the lure from rain and direct sunlight.
