Summary of the Book
Raina, an Austrian on a holiday in Prague, needs an interpreter. An Indian student is appointed as an interpreter, and what begins as a professional meeting eventually becomes a passionate and fervent relationship between the two. The beautiful, snowy winter background of Prague provides the story a perfect mood in this novel. But the romance unfortunately goes through unavoidable circumstances. Will they be able to surpass them?
About Nirmal Verma
Nirmal Verma was a Hindi novelist, writer, activist and translator. In his vast career, spanning five decades, he was best known for being one of the pioneers of the Nayi Kahani, or the New Story literary movement of Hindi literature. Among several honours and awards like the Padma Bhushan and Sahitya Akademi Award, Nirmal Verma was given away the most prestigious Jnanpith Award in 1999. Some of his most notable works are: Antima Aranya, Ek Chithara Sukh, Parinde, Lal Teen Ki Chhat, and Raat Ka Reporter.
