    The Death of Mitali Dotto by Anirban Bose is a work of fiction in which a doctor discovers the dark elements involved in the death of one of his patients.

    Summary of the Book

    Dr Neel Roy is a man of principles. He has come back to India after living in the United States for fifteen long years. He saves a young lady from death, a stab victim who was brought bleeding profusely into the modern New Delhi hospital where Neel works. But the young woman has no one to pay for the bills and for her care post-surgery. To Neel’s unbelievable astonishment, the hospital authorities decide to pull the plug and they disconnect the ventilator, letting the woman die. Just when the doctor tries to discover the roots of this inhuman event, he evidences a whole world of cold-hearted doctors, administrators, fraudulent policemen and deceitful political leaders. There is more than what meets the eye, to the woman’s death in the hospital. Would the morally conscious doctor be able to untangle this web of unknown reasons? How is his personal life, which is already troubled, affected by this case?

    A must read...

    A great book by this author.. Once again he has proven the simplicity to explain the complex of feelings a person feels.. This is author's third book & he is doing a great job.. The portrayal of characters, feelings, medicines & it's practices.. All of it.. Simply great... Great work...

    A great work of medical fiction, by any standard.

    This book is indeed very absorbing and a delight to read. The characters are well depicted and very believable. For anyone interested in reading and knowing about the vagaries of medical fiction and the ethics involved in medical malpractices thereon, this book is an absolute must.;
