In my second book, aptly titled “Decoding Project Leadership”, I have now focused on the professional area of Projects from a leadership perspective. Projects are characterised by chaos, uncertainty, and confusion; this may be overwhelming to an unsavvy practitioner. Drawing from my four decades of hands-on experience, I have tried to demystify this method in madness. I have again adopted my style of simplicity, practically actionable and relatable experiences, tips and tricks and guidelines for professionals who want to excel and grow into successful and effective project leaders. It is also very relevant to business leaders who want to understand and make sense of the chaotic and ambiguous world of projects.
I have interspersed known best practices and wisdom with real-life examples and stories from my life making absorption of the knowledge extremely easy and effective. The book is very comprehensive covering the entire life cycle and phases of the project from initiation to closure, their challenges, and suggested solutions to expected situations. I have also focused on the softer aspects of people, teams, conflicts, and decision-making etc that make or break the project.
The inclusion of the essential aspects related to Ethics & compliance and Sustainability & ESG in the modern context helps the reader to understand and manage these facets better. The book is a must to have, ready-on-hand quick reference to professionals to refer to in situations and phases of the project to seek suggested practical ways forward.
