I bought this fan to replace the factory installed heat sink on my HP Desktop, there are few things to be noted:

1. to install this Deepcool Heat sink you will need to remove the motherboard and install the CPU back plate which is provided with the package

2. make sure your PC has enough space inside for new Heat sink to fit. Most branded desktops have very little space inside and will make it harder for installation of larger heat-sinks like this one

I am writing this review after using it for more than 3 months.. Height is Such that it will fit for most of the cases.. even non standard ones.. like Mercury, Intex economy series.. and in a cramped up case, I noted 15 degree temperature difference vs Stock cooler....

This was used in the build of a studio computer and had to be quiet, that was pretty much all it had to do. Running a stock Core i3 it keeps temperatures just a couple degrees above ambient and is whisper-quiet if you allow the motherboard to control the fan speed. My Very sensitive condensor mics cannot pick up the rumble or the air noise, I'm a happy camper.

I bought this cooler along with my i5 3570K, and this really does the job of keeping the core cool and nice. Also you can change the RPM if and when needed..but i did not need it to. Shipping was fast and as-usual got the stuff pretty soon. People who are under a 2500 Rs. budget, go for this cooler...my friend bought the Evo 212 CM cooler...he says its awesome too..

Normally the temps are between 30-50C (ambient temp is 35-40). When I play BF3 it goes upto 65C which is not good and is same as using a stock cooler. I wasted my money on this product, will get a watercooled one now, maybe H80.

Edit: I was wrong, I changed the air flow direction in my case and now it works fine. Getting 45-50C while playing BF3 which is normal temp. Still I would suggest people to buy Evo 212, which is of same price but better than this cooler, and also has good brand name ...

I have dual core 2.8 Ghz and I overcloked it to 3.9 Ghz for 6 months So here are Stats

CPU Temperature in Winter(Delhi)- At full load(Running Skyrim(medium to high) when Overcloaked)= 27 C t0 37 C (remember at full load) Idle - 19 C;

CPU Temperature in Summer(Delhi Temperature- 40 C)- At full load(Running Skyrim(medium to high) when Overcloaked)= 50 C to 58 C (remember at full load) Idle - 38-44 C;

Wont recommend for gamers coz it gets hard time handling those temperatures. But its not a bad product at all. Good value for quality and flexibility of usage on both platforms.

It's quiet and compact .Work done successfully. Not for heavy gamers , after one year you have to chance the thermal compound paste

The product is made of quality material and does the job well my AMD processor never goes above 30'c Idle and 45'c-50'c on Load. Better than expected and it comes with Deepcool's thermal compound and installation is a breeze it took me 10 minutes to install this and fan, but yes it's advisable to take the motherboard out to make installation more easy.
