Yes, it is a classic work and Ghalib has rightly stood the test of time. Because most of the shaayris(couplets) are still relevant and find some sort of coherence in this fast changing world.

Now some factual info.:-
1. The book is in Devnagri script, with original Urdu 'shers' and their explanations in Hindi(both in Devnagri script).
2. It starts with short biography and quick timeline of the Mirza.
3. It holds 464 numbered pages and about 1566 shers.
4. The 'shers' are nicely and concisely...

I bought this book after reading Bipin Kumar's review. All he said about this book proved to be accurate and true. The glossary on each page is very comprehensive and constitutes a Ghalib ghazal dictionary. The typesetting is a beauty and the book is pleasingly produced. User-friendly all the way. Must thank Acharya Sarthi Roomi and the publisher. Incidentally I am only a learner of Urdu.

The book has a fine collection of Ghazals of Mirza Ghalib and the explanations are mostly good barring one or two places where the author could not explain things rightly, but that's not a reason not to buy the book. The reason may be the price. The book has its price written at Rs. 300/- but flipkart sold it to me at a whopping Rs. 403/- and still I think myself to be lucky as by the time I am writing this review, they are showing the price to be at Rs.483/- after a discount of 16%...

I was looking for a complete collection of Galib, and some one suggested this. This is one good read if you are into Urdu or Galib. The writing is Hindi, meanings are in Hindi and explanation of each verse and difficult words are clearly explained. Even if you are a novice in Urdu, this book makes it easy to understand. Certainly worth buying.

I was looking for book on Ghalib's work and I am very happy to get a copy of this book. The book not simply translates the meaning of poetry but also try to give an insight into the expression. One who has a bit less understanding about poetry or who is new to it can start enjoying Ghlaib's poetry with this book. Certainly a treat for Ghalib's fans.

This book undoubtedly contains some great shayari(s) written in hard core urdu language. Though provided with translations at bottom , it become quite uninteresting especially for those who are not acquainted with Urdu language.
flipkart provide one of the best delivery services but when i got this book ,price tag was marked with permanent marker .I'm still unsure whether i got this book at best price or not.
So better research thorougly before ordering one. happy reading..
