First of all Excellent work done by Flipkart by shipping this product within 24 hours of ordering (in Kanpur itself).
Second I used this hard disk and I was able to transfer 57GB data within 37 minutes(on USB2.0),,, so about 26MBps. I've not used hard disks from other manufacturers like Buffalo, Seagate, WD, so I won't be able to give you a comparative analysis but as for now I am satisfied with it's perfo...

I got the HDD delivered today. Its an amazing product from Dell. Very sleek and light and fits into big jeans pocket comfortably. The transfer speed with USB 3.0 is around 80Mbps and USB 2.0 is 15-20 Mbps. Very satisfied with my new purchase at a bargain price from Flipkart. As usual, the product delivery was super fast and I received it within 48hrs of ordering.

The price I bought is 4089, which I guess is a good deal in this category of hard disks. There were times you get only a 500 GB at this price, now that you get 1 TB at this price, is definitely a good deal. I got this delivered by Flipkart in just about 3 days, well packed. This is just a plug and play just as your USB. 80 MB/sec is the transfer rate, may vary if there are other application open in the system. looks smart. does its job. smooth finish. shouldve been cheaper but considering current market rates we cant complain.

do not buy this if you are clumsy, or if you shove a lot of things into a bagpack and the road is bumpy. go for the rubber padded transcend portable hd instead. this does not react well to hard objects rubbing against its surface.

I think this is the best deal for a !tb hard disk.......1TB in jus 4250!! and about its performance copied 100 GB of data using USB 2.0 with constant speed of 27 to 30 Mbps .
it looks great ...can keep in ur pocket also jus like ur cell phone...no prob of overheating...!! IN one word this product is AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a nice product. Keeps up to its brand image. Has got high data transfer speed, whenever put across a computer with a reasonably good processor, like Core 2 Duo or Intel i3.

There average data transfer speed has been around 40-50 Mbps. The highest has definitely surpassed 100 Mbps, when no other applications are running on the system.

In terms of use, the product is very suitable, its compact and slim enough.
However, the body is plastic , not that nice in terms of looks.
