i have bought this laptop from showroom in nehru place and i"m very happy with its performance.. as i"m a programmer i need a laptop that shoud be fast,light weight, durable, and have best keyboard design to cope with my typing speed... and this laptop fulfill all my requirement, it have an awesome silver furnished classic look, and have scratch resistance interior pane, have hd true life display, have sufficient space for palm rest which make typing very comfortable.... and the best part is ...

best product.....although had problems wid the touch pad....works smooth...takes 3-4 secs switch on and 4-5 secs switch off....its heavy and design is smiple...like the grey color thn the black one...has a SINGLE SLOT for RAM...so if wanna install new one,will have to replace the old one....

After the one year I am facing many problems in my labtop.In my worst case even its not getting power on, after contacted dell center its an motherboard issue.

The Windows 8.1 single language, installed, is not genuine. I found this out by contacting the MS support as my 'get Windows 10 app' was missing.

dell 3542 notebook is worst laptop which ever i seen in my life.This laptop touchpad , keyboard is very cheap... sound quality is also very low and cheap ... i bought this from dell in Rs. 45,500..my all money is wasted because this is very cheap quality of laptop,bad hardware,bad performan...

Problems....
1-No recovery drive
2-touchpad not good
3-Heating issue
4-No window sticker (doubt of genuine windows)
5-Slow start and shut down issues
6-Laptop somewhat blinks while using

I m using this product from Diwali 2014..
Yet not facing any problem..
Batter backup good almost 4 hours till now..
Dell always rock..

I bought this laptop from the Dell Store, I thought this laptop would be good as I only wanted to do some programming. But, this is a nightmare, it has trouble connecting to Wifi and the touchpad stop whenever it pleases. Windows 8.1 is annoying.
I would rate this below 1 star.
