first off i purchased this from vijay sales as i got a better price and a bunch things along with it including a philips usb sound bar and a bag.

appearance its good just good not great and it does not have a glossy finish like an ordinary HP but ill prefer that in the long run as my old HP has scratches that look bad after a year or so of use.

i bought this laptop a month ago.... and laptop looks great and the backlit is main attraction to this laptop there are some problems with this laptop
1. #system is a bit slow
even some times the dell touchpad stops working... !

2. #microphone
microphone is not working the technician came home and replaced the microphone and but not working then another technician came and replaced the wire which connects microphone and mother b...

I bought this Lap top and would like to mention few things:

1. This is coming with a great Configuration and performance
2. But the Body comes with cheap plastic and also the adapter comes with an entry level connector. Also the touch pad and the buttons are too cheap quality and never expecting this kind of things from DELL for a high end Laptop. Also the Keyboard is of cheap quality. Battery life is OK ( around 3 hrs)

Overall it is an Average Laptop. If you are thinking only performance...

Firstly laptop build quality is of cheap plastic, which is very delicate.
Comparision between i5 & i7-
* Its not so big difference between i5 & i7, buyers can go with i5 which is equally of same performance and cost around 45k.
* Comparing with Dell 3542, Build quality is good with HP Pavilion 15-p045TX for same config laptops.
* Glaring Screen.
* Bulid quality & anti glare screen would have been good for Rs 59000/- laptop.
DELL Support is good.
No caps lock/wifi/num lock indicators.

Performance is very nice, looks good, thin and slim, a bit low on plastic quality and keyboard. Expert sound quality on external speakers and headphones but internal speakers volume is too low though clarity is still appreciable.

Guys beware You need to pay 1499/- after purchase to get Dell extended warranty offer .

pathetic service , what they do is out of my understanding ,
they said there is an offer on this laptop which gives me 3k coupons of jabong .
and 1 yr extended warranty of laptop from dell .
i got none ! moreover on filling the complaint over phone on the very next day , they said that coupon will arrive in mail and extended warranty can be redeemed at DELL center.
1.) coupons never arrived.
2.) nor did any mail regarding the complaint that i had filed ( no acknowledgment)
3.) DELL people ...

I purchased this laptop from Dell Store. The vendor told me that the laptop is expandable till 16GB and has 2 slots with 4 gb in each currently. So I bought a new 8GB RAM from local vendor and when opened to fit in the RAM, I was shocked to find only one Slot. I am doomed for 5000. Now fighting with the vendor for the replacement of the laptop. Please be sure.
