Dell Venue 8 Tablet

I ordered this tab on 5th July and got delivered on 8th july.....Fast and effective...Packed well by flipkart.....and even got a discount of 1k at the time of order....
And now about the product....
Dell is one of the most reliable brand in computing device and also they keep good after sales relation with their customers.
I got this tablet for 17999 and believe me guys the experience is remarkable...
There is so much in this tablet at this price tag..
One who expect a tab to take hardcore ph...

Before buying the tab i went through all the comments here so i want to thank them all for helping me make my choice.

i feel i owe my review to other friends like me, who check out the reviews before buying.

CONS,
1.found the touch slightly laggy....i am yet TO have problems playing games like temple run and subway surfers which require a very responsive touch.....but....i found the touch slightly laggy.

2.the battery drains bloody fast and even the charging takes a lot of time.

I have always depended on Flipkart for review of products I wanted to buy, so I thought I need to write one for a product that I bought.
Ordered the Dell Venue 8 (WiFi, 16GB, Android) on 2pm, 26th May, got it delivered on 8pm, 28th May. On time, good packaging, as usual.

At first i wanted a device for gaming. I saw this priced for 12 k on flipkart(if u have more budget buy google nexus seven). I ordered it as i saw the reviews they said this tablet freezes but still i bought it as it was of a great brand dell. the next day i saw rates dropped to 11 k lol. i cancelled and ordered again. when it reached to me the next day price was 10k lol but still was happy with a great performance tab for 11k. Display is crystal clear and tablet is fast and light. Audio quality is good too. What more you can expect with the price tag of ~14K for 8 inch tablet?

PROS:
- Good performance and speed which is good for gaming.
- Easy upgrade to KitKat
- Standard Micro USB charging
- Multi-user support (after upgrade to KitKat)

CONS:
- Screen light bleeding at edges
- Graphics are not smooth and noticed frame drops in games
- Touch responsiveness is not so good, misses some touch inputs.

I shortlisted the tablet as it had 2gb ram and a 2ghz processor and, ofcourse, the brand. As expected the product is responsive, fast and smooth. No lags, only once did I notice it freeze on a eBook read with the google play, of the many books and other activities. Got abt 24gb free space of the promised 32(may vary). Good WiFi connectivity and 3g also. Update to KitKat smooth. Used the office suite from mobile systems, video, Facebook, very limited games and lots of reading ebooks. All work ...

You guys have certainly set the benchmark for delivery. Great job, Flipkart! Keep up the good work. Got this piece in the iDay discount for fourteen grand. Model is Venue 8, 32 gb with wifi & 3G. Was waiting for the price of 32gb variant to come down. specs are good. will be a while before I can actually put the tab through its paces. Absence of voice call is manageable i guess.
