Design Data Hand Book For Mechanical Engineers: In SI And Metric Units is a handy reference book for students doing a course in machine design.
Summary Of The Book
Machine Design is a vital part of the syllabus for mechanical engineering. Students doing a course in mechanical engineering, need a thorough understanding of all the aspects of machine design, including the concepts and formulas.
Design Data Hand Book For Mechanical Engineers: In SI And Metric Units is a useful reference source for machine design students. It collects all the formulas, standard tables, charts, graphs and the other necessary data in one single resource.
The book has been designed to cater to the syllabus of various universities across the country. It covers the fundamental data required for understanding and applying design concepts. The parts covering the design, properties and uses of materials, have been written according to the 1.8.1 Standard Definitions.
The book has been designed and written using the SI Units, and it begins with a section that explains how the book should be used. The main coverage is divided into 24 chapters, focusing on many machine design concepts and different types of machine components.
The book covers the required Design Data for many aspects of machine design. It also covers Stress Analysis, Riveted Joints, Curved Beams, Design of Shafts, Flexible Machine Elements, and Couplings, Clutches and Brakes.
Design Data Hand Book For Mechanical Engineers: In SI And Metric Units has been thoroughly revised to bring the material up-to-date. This book includes a new chapter on Rotating Discs. The authors have put in their best efforts to ensure that all the necessary information required for various aspects of machine design have been included in this reference book.
