i have read this book.very good books for civil services especially for gs3. it covers all topics present in syllabus .i recommended this book for civils aspirants.prepare this book thoroughly you gain knowledge on basics of science and technology n u r capable to understand the science and technology information's and news present in daily news papers.

It is a guide book and not a textbook eventually, one must read the book on refrence purpose only. the sections on science and technology must be covered up by dailies and the magazines... while the ncerts provide conceptual clarity.. this is a fact-bombing book and should only be used to upgrade your present knowledge and not to acquire knowledge.. those who mentioned the book as entirely bogus and useless must have got the wrong approach for this book, surely. I highly recommend this book for studying the paper-3 of mains of UPSC. It is very comprehensive, however, since science affairs are dynamic in nature, most of the part you will be stuck to researching on the internet for notes.

These book isn't for CSE exam clearly many facts provided in the book are out of syllabus !
If you have enough money to waste your time then go for it .

Paper quality is not good; and content also so much unnecessary data is there which hard to understand even science student; overall average

Book has exhaustive coverage but could have been with a bigger font :( I get tired after reading 3-4 pages :(
