The Diary of a Young Girl (English, Paperback, Frank Anne)
The Diary of a Young Girl is one of the timeless books of the heartless Nazi rule and of the invincible human courage. What was then a thirteen-year-old girl’s diary, has now become a stirring work that brings out the most intense nuances of human emotions and circumstances during war.
Summary of the Book
Anne Frank was given a diary as a gift for her thirteenth birthday in 1942. She dubbed it as "Kitty" and started writing about several things that came to her mind in that diary - her love and respect for her father, the lack of the defined ‘daughterly love’ for her mother, love for her sister and the ruthless massacres of the Nazis. Anne wrote to imaginary friends in Dutch, and over a period of time, focused only on writing to Kitty, the diary itself. Anne Frank’s diary was revealed to the world by her father, Otto Frank.
About Anne Frank
Anne Frank was a victim of the Jewish Holocaust. Her writings were published posthumously as The Diary of a Young Girl by her father Otto Frank, which has become one of the most read books on the holocaust, becoming the basis for several films and TV shows.
