A helpful guide for beginners, this well-packaged book, with some excellent photos and very very useful tips, ensures that it reader shall develop into a knowledgeable photographer.

This book is quite jargon-free and simple to understand at beginner levels; includes from basic to creative shooting information for aspiring prosumers and can go as an extended version of user manual with some of most creative photographic insights.

Certainly, recommended for begineers/newbies; may not be very useful for seasoned photographers.

Find the book as well written explaining the concepts in a simpler manner with very useful tips, dos, don'ts. Given that there are several concepts that one has to understand and master, I find this book being a very good starting point. Also I find, that book uses the terminology consistent with what is used in my camera's user manual and thus I am able to correlate and know how to set things while taking photographs.

Excellent Book to read with gud pics to demonstrate.... ... I at frst thought to tak class on photography but they demand so much money tat u can buy two cameras wid tat so I thought why to take class on photography ... Actually this book never shows guide to exposure or Technic which is essential for the biginers and never shows how to be expert in digital photography. No of pictures far less and no exposure is written. It is better to follow the webs than to purchase the book. The way how to edit the pictures is not in detail. The guide line how to edit the pictures is shown in "Photoshop element" software which is far less used than "Photoshop" group like CS.More illustrations with exposure factors is req...

Got this book today. Great service from flipkart and EMS of India Post. Very good book for beginners. Especially the 3rd chapter titled ‘The Digital Darkroom’ is indeed very informative. The print is good. The language is lucid. The book is full of vivid pictorial descriptions. The size is also very handy. In short it is worth it’s cost. A must for all those beginners, having a DSLR and an interest in photography.

i personally suggest to google up then buying this book ! just very basic book which helps a kid who like photography and needs to know something ... well for people who know What is DSLR and Point n shout a bit .. then do not buy this book !

Highly recommended for Kids who like to know camera ? and photography ? this book will give them a good start ..
